Our LED backlighting technology offers several edge lighting configurations, called UNO, DUO, and QUATTRO. These terms correspond to the number of panel edges on which LED strips are mounted.

UNO – one edge illuminated
This configuration uses a single LED strip placed along one edge of the panel – usually the longer side – to achieve the best uniformity of illumination. A single light source is sufficient to evenly illuminate the surface, provided that the light path does not exceed approx. 500 mm.
This solution has the lowest energy consumption and the lowest cost, as it requires the smallest number of LEDs. It is ideal for smaller formats, such as information boards or illuminated logos.

DUO – two illuminated edges
In this variant, LED strips are mounted on two opposite edges of the panel – usually along the longer sides. This arrangement works well for medium and large formats, when a single strip does not provide a sufficient effect. The LEDs placed on both sides of the panel provide stronger and more uniform light over a larger area.
As a result, larger signs, information panels, and advertising lightboxes look impressive, without the risk of shadows or darkened areas at the edges.
