What is Crystal Panel LED?

Crystal Panel LED is a line of backlight panels made of engraved PMMA boards, edge-lit with LED strips. This technology allows for uniform illumination across the entire panel surface, without visible light spots, shadows, or tonal transitions.

How does an edge-lit LED panel work?

In an LED panel, the light source is located on one or more edges of the PMMA panel. A specially designed engraving disperses the light within the material, ensuring uniform illumination across the entire panel surface. The engraving program is individually tailored to the panel’s size and shape.

Where can Crystal Panel LED panels be used?

Crystal Panel LED panels are ideal for advertising, in-store displays, POS systems, textile frames, light boxes, furniture, display cabinets, museums, showrooms, hospitality spaces, and decorative arrangements. They can be used anywhere aesthetically pleasing and uniform illumination is required.

What is the difference between UNO, DUO and QUATTRO backlights?

UNO means one edge of the panel is illuminated, DUO means two opposite edges, and QUATTRO means all four edges are illuminated. UNO is primarily used for smaller formats, DUO for medium and larger panels, and QUATTRO when very high brightness and maximum backlight uniformity are required.

What dimensions can LED panels have?

Dimensions depend on the model selected. For CPL Classic and CPL Eco, the maximum standard dimension is 3000 × 1500 mm, for CPL Thickness Balance 2750 × 1500 mm, for CPL Double 1200 × 800 mm, and for CPL Multi White 2000 × 1000 mm. Other dimensions may be available upon request.

What thicknesses of PMMA sheets are available?

Depending on the model, various PMMA sheet thicknesses are available. Standard variants include 4, 6, 8, and 10 mm sheets, while selected designs also offer custom-made options.

What light colors are available in LED panels?

Standard panels can be manufactured in white colors such as 3000 K, 4000 K, 5000 K, 6500 K and 10,000–12,000 K. Color-changing solutions are also available, e.g. CPL Color RGB, CPL Color+ RGBW and CPL Multi White with adjustable white color temperature.

What is CPL Classic?

The CPL Classic is the entry-level model in the Crystal Panel LED series. It consists of an engraved PMMA panel and edge-lit LED backlight. It is a versatile solution for advertising, display, and decorative applications, especially where uniform illumination and an aesthetically pleasing visual effect are essential.

What makes CPL Eco stand out?

CPL Eco is a panel made of 100% recycled PMMA board that can be recycled after use. The material retains the properties of typical PMMA while ensuring high-quality illumination and a more eco-friendly design.

When is it worth choosing CPL Thickness Balance?

The CPL Thickness Balance is designed for projects requiring high precision and predictable parameters. The model is made of PMMA Perspex CC with a reduced thickness tolerance of up to 5% and is UL 94 flame retardant.

What is CPL Double used for?

The CPL Double is a double-sided LED panel that provides uniform illumination on both sides. It’s ideal for applications where the panel needs to be visible from two directions, such as advertising racks, shop windows, signage, or selected display elements.

What is the difference between CPL Color RGB and CPL Color+ RGBW?

The CPL Color RGB allows you to change colors within the RGB spectrum—red, green, blue, and their combinations. The CPL Color+ RGBW expands this functionality with an additional white color, allowing you to create both colored lighting effects and more classic white backlighting.

What is CPL Multi White?

The CPL Multi White is an LED panel that allows for smooth control of the color temperature of white light—from warm to cool white. The adjustment range is 3000K to 7000K, and the color and intensity of the light can be adjusted remotely using a remote control.

Can LED panels be made to order?

Yes. Crystal Panel produces backlights tailored to a specific project, including dimensions, power, light color, lighting method, and application. The company also creates prototypes.
